Helen Scull runs easy small group Cookery courses and demonstrations at her home here in Shaldon, South Devon
There is a varied choice of courses- and some are bespoke to small private groups who enjoy a day with friends with lovely food and a bit of learning at the same time !
Courses are suitable for all oven types
Helen uses a 4 oven Aga cooker -alongside her conventional cookers- all recipes are designed to be followed easily whatever your cooker choice is at home, with plenty of easy prepare ahead ideas to make catering really simple. The courses are suitable for all levels of cook -and there is some hands on work if you like to do this, however if you prefer to watch and learn, you are welcome to do so, all recipe sheets are provided for you.

SATURDAY March 2nd Full day Easy prepare ahead entertaining course -starts at 0930 with breakfast on arrival -soup/starter/canapes/main course/bread/desserts -some hands on or watch and learn. Fishes with a late lunch and glass of wine. Price £ 85pp - discount if two or more book together
SATURDAY March 9th - Full day Bread making workshop -includes Pizza making from scratch. 0930 start with breakfast -then at least 7 types of bread ! Finishes with a late lunch and glass of wine. Price as above !
SUNDAY March 10th -Half day Cakes, Bakes and Biscuits -1.30 start with a glass of bubbles and savoury on arrival - includes pastry techniques and enriched bread dough. Finishes with a full tea, and lots to take home. Price is £ 45.00 pp
FRIDAY March 15th Full day easy prepare ahead entertaining course -starts at 0930 with breakfast on arrival-soup/starter/canapes/maincourse/bread/desserts - some hands on or watch and learn. Finishes with a late lunch and glass of wine. Price £ 85.00 -discount if two or more book together
THURSDAY March 21st AGA BASICS A full day course running through all the basic and enhanced functions of cooking with an Aga -learn everything in the relaxed atmosphere of a Devon Aga kitchen -start with Aga cooked breakfast and finish with a late lunch and glass of wine.
