Set in a modern custom designed house, Helen Scull runs a series of innovative and varied cookery courses –designed for both the experienced and more novice Aga user. Ingredients, flavours and techniques all come together in easy cookery demonstrations- and although Helen is using a 4 oven gas Aga- directions are also given for conventional oven cookery, and techniques adapted to suit individual cookers The courses range from half days, through to full day and two-day courses, for parties up to 8 people, and are individually designed around fresh seasonal produce –some from our own garden. One to one courses may be arranged –these courses are hands on-to learn many slightly more complicated techniques, but are adjusted to suit each individual.
FULL DAY COURSES £ 85.00 pp
Start with homemade breakfast at 0915 –then starters/ soups/main courses, desserts and baking –with a break for a drink and canapés at midday, completion of the cookery course, then late lunch with wine. Many prepare ahead ideas, suitable for entertaining are amongst the courses.
HALF DAY COURSES £ 45.00 pp
These courses usually start at 1230 –starting with a light lunch item and glass of wine. Baking, strudels, quiches, scones and pastry making feature on these shorter courses –completing the course with full afternoon tea to sample all the food prepared earlier –served in one of our rooms overlooking the gardens and river Teign beyond, or outside on one of the terraces if the weather permits!

SUNDAY LUNCH COURSE
£ 45.00 per person –minimum 4 people Come and enjoy your Sunday lunch - a demonstration course of starters, canapés, Sunday lunch and desserts with a glass of Sherry- then sit down and enjoy the full lunch “At Home” –bring your own wines Coffee and tea to follow
AFTERNOON TEA COURSE £ 30.00 pp
A fun course for those who love baking and afternoon tea! Includes various scones, pastries and cakes- and finishes with full afternoon tea –courses start at 2pm
ONE to ONE COURSES from £ 90.00
These courses are individually designed to suit your requirements- this involves some hands on work –learning skills such as bread making, pastries, meringues, patisseries - please contact me regarding your own class Courses can be designed to suit your requirements – Gluten Free Vegetarian Specific techniques etc etc All recipes are provided, along with space for you to make notes as you go along Please contact Helen for any special dates you require- to arrange parties or to buy gift vouchers
